Welcome to Saint James Newport.

Community Service

We strive to serve our community through ministries such as:

  • Coral Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center On the first Sunday of the month, during our worship service, Rev. Sarah consecrates the host, who will be distributed to Coral Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center residents every other Monday.

  • Book BagsWe collect school supplies for a backpack distribution in August. This is a small way that we can tell the story of Jesus by reaching out and supporting others who are in
    need.

  • Margie’s Tree – During the season of Advent, we prepare for the birth of the greatest gift, the Holy Child of God. In the spirit of giving, Saint James collects children’s mittens, scarves, and socks. We decorate a tree placed at the front of the church with these items. They are taken to Ritchie Elementary School to be distributed to children in need. This idea was a tradition of the Church of the Nativity that The Reverend Margie Pumphrey began. In honoring Margie and her ministry, the tree is known as Margie’s tree.
